I am Chris Franzen and I am one of the instructors in the Illinois Driver Education Teacher Endorsement Program at USF. I began my teaching career in 1995 after earning my Bachelor's degree in Physical Education from Illinois State University. I earned my Driver Education and Safety endorsement from Northern Illinois University in 1998. I also earned a Masters degree from Governors State University in Educational Administration in 2008.
I began teaching Driver Education in 1999 at a private driving school. Since 2001, I have been teaching Driver Education full-time at Bolingbrook High School. During my time at Bolingbrook High School I have leadership experience as the Driver Education department chair for 11 years. During my 20 plus years of teaching Driver Education I have taught classroom, simulation, and behind-the-wheel.
My goal is to teach you all of the necessary strategies and skills needed to be an effective Driver Education teacher, and to lead a Driver Education program. I look forward to working with you as you work to earn your Driver Education endorsement!
