USF ADJUNCT STAFF

DOUG BOZYCH

My name is Douglas Bozych. Besides being an instructor at USF, I am a full-time administrator at Victor J. Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL where I oversee the Physical Education, Health and Driver Education Division. Prior to this role, I taught Driver Education, Physical Education and Health, for twelve years at the same school. While I was in that role, I coached multiple sports including being the Boys Head Track and Field Coach for 8 years and was the buildings Activities Director during my last four years teaching.

During my time at Andrew, I spent ten years as a teacher union representative and worked on our contract negotiation team. I spent over ten years part of the IHSCDEA as the Region 3 Director and was part of the Legislative Task Force and Curriculum Writing Committee. Finally and more recently, I was part of the ISBE Driver Education Standards task force, which developed educational standards for Driver Education Classroom and Behind the Wheel instruction. I hold two master’s degrees, one in Educational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago, and a second in Sports Administration from Northwestern University. Currently reside in Downers Grove, IL with my wife, two daughters, and dog. In my spare time I instruct a small number of area athletes on speed/performance training. I love to travel, read, listen to music, and have coffee.
